dark mirror
the dark mirror series is basically a description of my ongoing drawing practice utilizing colour oil pencil and graphite on Fabriano BlackBlack© paper, the darkest paper I could find. The themes and subject matter come from the practice of drawing and observing, channeling matter and mind into imagery. The square perforations and black silk velvet backing convey for me a lack, a loss, a gap that is at the center of every person.
